We really enjoyed the trip. The organization was outstanding, with excellent coordination that made the trip feel safe and worry-free. We felt supported and cared for at all times. The preparation and professionalism of everyone we met was remarkable. We particularly loved the Inca Trail — arriving at Machu Picchu on foot was an unforgettable experience. We also enjoyed the diversity of landscapes, and ending the trip in the Amazon jungle in Puerto Maldonado was the perfect finale to a spectacular journey.

Our month-long trip in Peru was designed with a gradual build-up of interest in the sites, culminating with the visit to Machu Picchu. Karine, our local agent, was able to meet our wishes for both exploration and relaxation, arranging a well-paced trip with an itinerary of increasing appeal. We were pleasantly surprised by the professionalism and punctuality of all our local contacts. Certainly, the formula is more expensive than organizing it yourself, but that is the price of comfort. The follow-up and responsiveness throughout the trip were much appreciated.

A very interesting trip, with high-end hotels and the Z*** ship. However, travelers must be prepared to experience several climates within just a few days — from the high altitude of Cusco to the humid heat of Iquitos.

Suggestions: The M*** V*** Hotel in Maras is spectacular, but for travelers over 60, it would be better to start at a lower altitude (such as Ollantaytambo, 2,600 m) before moving on to Cusco (3,400 m) to acclimatize more easily.

Special mention: The guides and naturalists were wonderful — kind, motivated, and great at explaining the local environment and cultures.

An unforgettable two-week honeymoon in Peru! We loved everything we saw — stunning landscapes, a rich history, and warm, welcoming Peruvians. In Lima, we discovered a modern, bustling city by the sea, as well as museums of lost civilizations — such a contrast! Then we visited the Ballestas Islands, home to hundreds of thousands of birds, returning to our hotel where sparkling wine and coffee awaited us. The flight over the Nazca and Palpa lines was an exceptional event, in a small plane, on a beautiful day — an unforgettable discovery. Who could have made these immense drawings and lines? Crossing the Andes at 4,900 meters to see the Colca Canyon was another highlight — stunning volcanoes, fabulous mountain landscapes, and herds of alpacas, vicuñas, and llamas. We even saw majestic condors soaring at Cruz del Condor! Visiting Lake Titicaca under bright sunshine was a relaxing and picturesque experience before heading to Cusco and, of course, spending hours with a perfectly French-speaking guide at Machu Picchu — truly a wonder of the world! Throughout the trip, we enjoyed magnificent scenery and impressive archaeological sites such as Saqsayhuaman. An extraordinary journey! I recommend that everyone make this trip with Mundo América as well.

An incredible country of rare beauty. Majestic sites (sometimes victims of their own success, like Machu Picchu, which now has a set visitor route and no longer allows travelers to wander freely), which is a bit of a shame. Very impressive, sometimes overwhelming visits (such as the Potosí mines) that were nonetheless rich in learning. A region worth discovering at least once in a lifetime. Highlights: Overall organization, pick-up service upon arrival in each city, quality of private local guides (Irene in Chicago, Eddy in Cusco/Machu Picchu – both exceptional), quick response from emergency numbers, overnight stay with a host family and especially the day with the Tinkuy community — a true highlight we highly recommend to all travelers. Excellent hotel stays, and useful restaurant recommendations in our itinerary.

Points for improvement: While we enjoyed visiting Peru’s iconic sites with private guides, having a French-speaking guide during group excursions (like Lake Titicaca) was unnecessary and made it harder to connect with other travelers and locals. Also, there were too many intermediaries greeting us (e.g., at the airport, hotels) without adding real value. One hotel booking before Machu Picchu didn’t match the promised “treehouse” experience, which was disappointing.

Pre-trip tip: Bring small gifts from your home country for host community visits. Overall, we are extremely satisfied — a perfect 10/10. Thank you, Siobhane!

Planning my tailor-made trip was very efficient and flexible, even considering that in the middle of everything we had the COVID-19 pandemic, which forced me to postpone for a year and a half after everything had been arranged. This meant rescheduling and making changes, but everything was handled smoothly. I would recommend that other travelers spend several days in Cusco, as Machu Picchu is far from the only thing to see — in fact, there is so much more to do! Don’t miss the Sacred Valley and the Colca Canyon if you visit Peru. And if you love nature and aren’t afraid of spiders, snakes, wasps, caimans, etc., and don’t mind heat and humidity, then don’t miss the Amazon rainforest.

Almost three weeks traveling many miles by plane, train, bus, private transport, and boat. We saw incredibly varied landscapes: desert, Andean mountains, high plains, Lake Titicaca, and the jungle.
